In true EES style, the vegetables help to keep everything soft even once cooled, so this is ever such a handy recipe to have up your sleeve for picnics and cold lunches.
This recipe feeds a crowd, and it’s great to have made up in advance in the freezer. I divide the raw mixture into two containers, ready to defrost and cook as needed.
Use whichever finely ground sausages you like best and add extra flavourings to suit. This recipe is so tasty as it is, but it’s welcoming of extra herbs and spices. If you serve it with your favourite dipping sauce, gravy or chutney, all will be extra right with the world.
